Our winter celebration and fundraiser
Our regular members' meeting. We will be electing delegates to attend the Eastern Region Annual Conference in January 2025 and deciding upon a motion to send.
Residents can bring along garden waste in bags to tip into the garden waste freighter, a waste operative will be on hand to supervise. A reminder of what can be collected can be found here: https://www.colchester.gov.uk/recycling-and-rubbish/what-to-put-out/?id=&page=garden--waste Jocelyn is providing this from her Locality Budget. This is to help residents as Highwoods has a lot of nature trees & planting. This service will help residents clear leaf fall & garden waste from their property or paths. Those who do not use the garden subscription service due to having a small garden or cost will also find this service helpful.
From this central meeting point we will be clearing some of the central paths in Highwoods; the exact paths will be decided closer to the time. Can you join us?

In my role as the Colchester Labour Party officer, I am genuinely interested in establishing a sense of community among us from Black African, Black Caribbean, Mixed Heritage Asian, Latino, Muslim, Bangladeshi, and other ethnic minoritised backgrounds. The intention is to meet, socialise, and hear what truly matters to you. It will be a social event, but there will be an opportunity for you to hear advice from the Colchester Labour Party on ways how you can play an active role in effecting change in our community. This event is for ethnic minoritised Labour Party members but please bring along a friend. As you can imagine, when we meet, there will be some music and refreshments. Please RSVP by 25th November for catering purposes.
